MIT WPU Highlights 2022

Maharashtra Institute of Technology World Peace University (MIT WPU) is a state-private university located in Maharashtra. Established in 2017, the University is a part of MAEER’s MIT Group of Institutions. It is also considered among the top education institutions in India since the establishment of the MIT Group of Institutes in 1983. The University is recognised by the UGC and has been ranked 35 for both Private Engineering and MBA/ PGDM by Times in 2021. Presently, MIT WPU houses 33 schools and 17 departments. These schools and departments collectively offer more than 80 UG, PG, diploma and doctoral courses to students under the streams of Engineering, Management, Design, Liberal Arts, Science, Fine Arts, etc.

MIT WPU has international collaborations with various universities abroad, such as Nottingham Trent University UK, University of Massachusetts Lowell, Hochschule Hannover University of Applied Science & Arts Germany. It also provides international exposure and experience to students by organising study tours, student internships, faculty exchanges, joint research projects and degree twinning. MIT World Peace University offers scholarships worth INR 40,000 to INR 1 lakh to the meritorious students who demonstrate the passion to learn. The University also offers 100% merit scholarships and financial aid to the students across each of its courses. As far as placements are concerned, MIT WPU attracts industry giants from across India, including Bitwise, Amazon, Reliance, LG, IBM, Accenture, Mercedes Benz to name a few. MIT WPU Courses and Fees 2022

MIT WPU houses around 17 departments that collectively offer over 80 courses across 11 streams at undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctorate-level under its several schools, such as Design, Management, Liberal Arts, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Chemistry and Computer Science, to name a few. MIT WPU also offers several new-age courses, including a PG diploma in Cybersecurity, BBA Liberal Studies Leadership, PGP in Public Policy, among others which add an extra feather to the education background of students as well as professionals.

The flagship course of the University, BTech is offered for a duration of four years, while the duration of the remaining UG courses ranges from three-five years. The University also offers an Integrated BTech programme for Class 10 pass-outs of six years duration. Apart from this, the PG programmes are mostly of two years duration. The admission to all the programmes is conducted online through the official website of MIT WPU. Candidates can check the steps to apply for MIT WPU admissions 2022 below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the University (www.mitwpu.edu.in) and click on 'Apply'.

Step 2: Choose the preferred course among all the mentioned courses.

Step 3: Further, fill in the basic details such as name, email ID, mobile number, etc.

Step 4: Read all the instructions carefully and then tick the check box at the end of the application form's page

Step 5: Select the preferred exam centre and other remaining details

Step 6: Fill in the educational details correctly and proceed further 

Step 7: Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature as per the specified size and pay an application fee of INR 1,500 using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking

• Times B-School Ranking Survey: MIT WPU PG School of Management was ranked 5 among private universities in India, 22 among top B-schools in India and 10 among top B-schools in the west zone of India
• QS IGUAGE silver category of institutions: MIT WPU School of Engineering (formerly MIT College of Engineering, Pune) was ranked in a QS IGUAGE silver category of institutions
• Times Engineering Ranking 2018: MIT WPU School of Engineering (formerly MIT Pune) was ranked 14among all private Engineering institutes in India

MIT WPU Placements 2021

While the COVID-19 pandemic was a huge challenge facing the entire world, MIT WPU managed to record remarkable placement statistics during 2021 placements. So far, in excess of 850 students from Engineering and over 750 Management students have been placed. Rakuten selected two students with a CTC of INR 37.26 LPA, the highest CTC ever offered on campus so far. ExtraMarks Education selected 10 students with the highest CTC of INR 12.4 LPA, beating out last year highest CTC of INR 10 LPA offered by Schlumberger Limited. Among the companies that placed MIT WPU students include IBM, HCL, Michelin India, Amdocs, Infosys, ONGC, Hitachi, Barclays to name a few.
